Unrelenting Strength
The eastern torrent windward blows
Crashing hard against my rocky shores
It drives me toward the shelter I crave
To a solid fortress where I can hide my face.
The pounding wind and waves are ever loud
Feeding with trepidation the fearful crowds
But this towers unrelenting strength
Will weather the storms of any length
And when I go forth as the sunbeams break
The birds singing sweetly will chase those fears away
So when the western footfall echoes ring
The devastating news that they all love to sing
I can find solace in that tower of fact
That when I need strength I can always come running back
Because those rocky shores have weathered the years
And I find that friend to strengthen and care
With this towers unrelenting strength
I can weather the storm of any length
And when I go forth as the sunbeams break
The birds singing sweetly will chase those fears away
